The lady pushed the glasses up her nose. It took her eyes just a few seconds of adaptation to the lenses.
"This is amazing. Everything is clear in the distance. Yes, perfect. I see the demarcation line but it's not much of a barrier"
"You can look at one of your hands over and under the demarcation line if you wish"
"Yes, that sounds like fun. Hold on, I have to raise my chin a bit.... That's it. So this is what reading glasses are about. My hands look enlarged. But all the detail in the background is blurry. Do I look like a granny in these glasses?"
"Not at all. The demarcation line is quite discrete, barely noticeable. That was the advantage of the old glass lenses. Now please look over the demarcation line and tell me if you see any changes in the park"
