"I got these in Germany. They were made 35 years ago for a very shortsighted lady and she wore them several years. There were no thin lenses in those days and this was a brand new alternative for super thick coke bottles"

"Poor lady. She must have felt handicapped"

"No, I don't think so. She later bought glasses with the very first high index lenses. But she could not get used to them and her next pair was fitted with the same lens type you are looking through"

"But how did she cope with the moving clouds?"

"It takes a few weeks to get used to the clouds. The first time I saw a lady in these kind of glasses was nearly 30 years ago. She looked confident and attractive, chatting away with some friends"
