"That's grand, keep looking at your hand" (SNAP) "Thank you".
"You sound like a real model photographer. Safe return guaranteed?".
"Absolutely. You will be in the fog again but it will clear up within half a minute. Please take a look around before you take off the glasses".
"Alright.... Everything looks pretty much the same as it did with the previous glasses. No hotel tower, very few bikes and boats. No people in the street. But there is a difference. It all looks enlarged and there are distortions near the rim of the frame. It's just as if I'm forced to look straight ahead".
"Ah, that's the centrifugal power of magnifying lenses. The previous pair was minus three and this is plus six. Lenses for short sight have centripetal power".
"It's fascinating to observe the difference. Being shortsighted is definitely more comfortable. I have to turn my head constantly. The peripheral vision is crap. Can I take off the glasses and have a look at your display?"
"Of course you can".
The fog soon cleared up and the young woman was delighted when she saw the images on the display.
"These are really nice. I would not mind if you take some more pictures of me in other glasses".
"That can be arranged. Be prepared for a surprise. I have two identical pairs called Whitney"
"What a coincidence. Can you hand them to me?"
