Large rimless glasses were a novelty in opticians shops in 1979. They were quite expensive but my future wife and I both bought a pair. My glasses were never stable because of the difference in weight between both lenses. Minus one on the left and minus five on the right. My lady was not too pleased either. High index lenses did not exist yet so the rim of her lenses was a centimeter thick. Minus seven was a bit too much for rimless glasses. No such problems here for lovely Chanel and the eleven models who posed before her in this pair.
