Ten years ago, the "floating lens" was a fairly popular trend in frame design. This happened in the closing years of the retro era (1989 - 2008) but Zenni cleverly adapted the trend to large frames as well. The transparent glasses shown here by Dana are a fine example. The floating lens allows the viewer a bit of innocent voyeurism. That is, if the prescription is not too strong. My collection hosts an identical purple pair with Rx -8.00. Lens thickness is eight millimeters and the model's eyes would remain hidden from this angle.
