These Sterling glasses were sent to me five years ago by an excellent photographer from Bavaria called Stephan. Projects like "Planet Myopia" in collaboration with his partner Sandra were highly inspirational to me when I embarked on my own steam with "Ladies behind crystal veil" in 2009. Another source of inspiration was "High myopic girls" by Alain from Paris. Unfortunately, Stephan and Sandra split up a few years later. Alain is still active but not as prolific as say ten years ago. Both of them concentrated exclusively on portrait photography of ladies in extremely strong glasses. My own approach was - and still is - to take the model's own prescription as a starting point.
