Zooming in.... Nicole is watching the next pair of glasses through bifocals from the early 1970's. The worn condition of the bifocals suggests that they are an early find at the Waterlooplein flea market in my native Amsterdam. The bifocal lenses are made of glass and in excellent condition. Note the unusually low position of the demarcation line. My guess is that the first owner of these bifocals had another pair for extended reading. The colour blend between the frame and the model's hair is really nice. Nicole is the first model who posed in them.
