Tereza 088

These nicely decorated glasses were ordered from Zenni during the spring of 2012. Fashion had changed after the black hipster trend took over. Sigh of relief. Two dull decades of tiny retro frames were finally over. The uniformity of the black hipster frames did not bother me. It might well become a catalyst for more variety in large frames. Even today I regard the 1970's and 1980's as the classic peak in frame design.
It goes without saying that a new trend in fashion does not suit all facial shapes. Some designers of the golden decades were well aware of this and they kept supplying the brands with smaller frames as well. Brands like Rodenstock introduced identical frames in various sizes to accommodate clients with wide and narrow PD's alike.
This short lecture about frame design is given here as it played an important role during the initial selection of glasses for Tereza. But it can never do any harm to bring at least a few frames for a larger PD as well. The Zenni glasses shown here were part of the experiment and Tereza did not mind giving them a try.
