These splendid glasses by Christian Dior were an amazing find at the Waterlooplein flea market in Amsterdam around 1988. Who on earth would own beautiful, expensive glasses like these and then throw them out after only seven years? Whatever the motives of their first owner, her glasses got a glorious second life. They were immediately liked by many models and Carla is the 12th to pose in them. You may wonder about the price paid at the flea market. If my memory serves me correctly, it was five guilders which was my upper limit at the time. Just over two euros....
