These splendid half rim cat eye bifocals were kindly sent to me by Mike after our cooperation in the photo shoot with Nicci in Brighton. The style is really 1950's at their very best, but the glasses may well be more recent. I remember seeing elderly ladies in cat eye glasses like these in the Hastings area as late as the 1990's. The famous detective writer Agatha Christie may well have been an influence on English ladies to keep the cat eye style alive.
