Austria based Silhouette was the other absolute top brand of the seventies and eighties. Their frames were less bold than Dior's but always refined, elegant and very ladylike. My collection hosts well over a hundred pairs by Silhouette and the company kindly met my request to put the year of manufacture to some twenty pairs in my collection. This enabled me to extrapolate the age of most of the other Silhouettes. The pair shown here by Priscilla is an almost random yet fine example of the style. Small wonder that many models chose these glasses for their photo shoot.
