Before the 1950's, all glasses were unisex. This all changed when cat eye frames arrived. Although the stigma about glasses largely remained, women appreciated the element of fashion in the cat eye style. Times changed again in 1964. Beatlemania and all the rest of it. Fashion changed at a dazzling speed. All of a sudden, cat eye glasses were deemed old fashioned and they soon disappeared from the streets. Attempts to create a revival but this never took place. And then there was Zenni in 2010.... What a thrill to discover the first cat eye glasses in their catalog. The pair shown here by Tereza was among first modern cat eye glasses in my collection. Seven models were keen to give them a try. The frame is suitable for faces with a small PD so the glasses traveled to Prague.
It was immediately obvious that Tereza liked the cat eye look. How about a bit of acting?
