Nerissa 018

Photo shoots for "Ladies behind crystal veil" are always accompanied by a free lecture about the glasses in which the model is posing. This goes for this narrative but it's also what happens during the trial session and the photo shoot. The story here is that the glasses from the mid 1960's were rather small, solid and compact. The Love Summer of 1967 inspired a new wave in frame design. The size of the glasses got larger and larger until it culminated in 1975. Unlike the Saphira glasses shown in the previous series, oversize glasses were often seen in the streets. Brands and opticians realized that the new trend did not suit all faces. So there was a nice mixture of frame sizes in the shops and in the streets. Here beautiful Nerissa is showing that there was nothing wrong or even extravagant about the trend in the mid 1970's. This is a superb pose by all standards.
