Gradually the singer started adding words to the melody line without any interruption of the music. It was as if she was playing an endless tape, filling in new bits and pieces of melody and lyrics. The inventor was impressed by the cheerful expression on her face. Aside of the squinting, there was no sign of any struggle. She was looking confident and clearly in her element. Being an experienced singer-songwriter since the late 1960's, the inventor recognized and appreciated each new phase of the creative process he was witnessing.
