Dana 007
The 1970's were the decade of bold and even daring frame design. It was also the decade of super large frames. The classic thumb rule that a frame should follow the eyebrow line of the wearer went overboard. This always amazes young models who were not around at the time.

Dana first contacted me two years ago when I posted a casting call for Berlin. Given the distance, we agreed to do the photo shoot in Czechia the next year. Prague had been on the wish list of both Nel and myself for a long time. So our agenda for the trip to Prague was built around the day that would suit Dana best.

Like most freelance models, Dana wears contact lenses in daily life but she brought her own glasses to Kodanska upon my request. Tiny, rimless glasses, as discrete as possible. Bearing this in mind, we started the photo shoot with some vintage glasses in the same category. This Essilor pair gave Dana perfect eyesight, ensuring a gentle start.

These subtle half rim glasses by Essilor were liked by several models and as a result, featured in many photo shoots (e.g. Clarine 159, Farishta 029, Lucy 144, Kimberley 086, Sandra 118, Anna 033, Nicci 050 and most recently Chanel). Some frames just have that quality - they suit every face.
